  • The Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (Army JROTC) is a program taught at high schools around the United States which goal is expressed in it’s mission statement of “To motivate young people to be better citizens”. The whole focus of this program is to teach young people, leadership, discipline, citizenship, and how to be a better student.

  • No, Army JROTC Is not for recruitment. The Program is designed to help better young people, the instructors are not allowed by Army Regulation to try and convince cadets to enlist in the military. So, in no way does the program attempt to recruit anyone to the military.

  • In all honesty? No, It really isn’t that hard of a program. We never ask that much out of cadets, and we always try to work with cadets so that they can have a better experience. Not to say you won’t struggle from time to time, but we will never ask anyone to do anything impossible.

  • We have a lot of major benefits, some of our benefits are military related, but not all of them. Below is a chart of SOME of the benefits, there are a lot more though.

    Leadership Skills Everyday N/A, you will learn this by being in the program. Slight, you do have to be willing to learn how to be a leader.

  • While in JROTC, you can be in any of the other programs at Lecanto! 

    We have many students who are in one or more programs, such as Russell Rags, Who is a IB (International Baccalaureate), and the school news show (POPTV).
