Lecanto High School

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Lecanto High School offers a comprehensive and engaging educational experience that prepares students for success after high school. Lecanto High School has offered the IB Diploma Programme (DP) since 2009 and expanded opportunities for students with the addition of the Career-related Programme (CP) in 2024. Both programs are part of the IB continuum and are designed to support students with a wide range of interests and future goals.

The IB program emphasizes high academic standards while also developing the whole student. Through inquiry-based learning, collaborative projects, and real-world applications, students build strong critical thinking, communication, and time-management skills. The program also encourages students to become active, responsible learners who understand their role in both their local community and the wider world.

Students in the IB Program are supported by experienced teachers and staff who guide them through challenging coursework while helping them explore college and career pathways. Graduates of the IB Program leave Lecanto High School well prepared for the demands of higher education, workforce training, and lifelong learning.
