Have you heard of the SECOND CHANCE ACT? It's very important if you have a child who is an athlete, plays in band, JROTC, or any extracurricular activities. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death on school campuses – more than any form of cancer, concussion or illness combined. Thousands of seemingly healthy kids die every year due to detectable heart conditions. 

●    The Second Chance Act requires student-athletes to receive an ECG to legally play sports in the 2026-2027 school year.

●    1 in 300 youth have a potentially life-threatening, detectable heart condition that could lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

●   Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the #1 killer on school campuses and in student-athletes.

●   A regular physical misses these conditions 96%-99% of the time.

●   A 5-minute, non-invasive ECG catches these conditions 80%-96% of the time.
